Katy Perry recently opened up about her relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom in a new interview with People Magazine, revealing that the couple “continuously put in the work” to make sure they’re both “okay.”
Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Daisy Dove, in August 2020.

How do we keep it interesting? How do we keep the love alive?’ And if you’re not growing, you’re dying.”
The “California Gurls” singer went on to explain that communication is key in any relationship. “Communication is the key to all of it,” she said. “That’s the biggest challenge, is allowing each other to have freedom of expression and feel like you’re not going to be judged for it, but it’s safe.”
Perry also shared that Bloom has been a supportive partner throughout her career and personal life. “I have a great partner who is very supportive,” she said. “He’s an incredible dad and we continuously put in the work to be partners in all facets of our life.”
The singer added that she and Bloom are both committed to their relationship and making it work, saying, “We do the work when we need to do the work. It’s a beautiful thing that we’re on this journey together.”
